With Halloween just around the corner I had the excuse to rewatch “Marvel Zombies”. “Marvel Zombies” is a four episode miniseries that follow a group of heroes trying to survive and save the world from zombie infected Avengers. While also being hunted by a corrupt Scarlet Witch.
The first time I watched “Marvel Zombies” I was very surprise on the level of story telling it was able to do with such a short amount of episodes. While also balancing out good character building for many of the remains heroes, such as Ms. Marvel, (voiced by Iman Vellani) during the show you can see her go from a optimistic, joyful character, intent of finding a cure to save the world, and through ever defeat you watch her and many of the other character lose hope on saving the world, which at the end leads her to make a very misguided decision.
I also very much enjoy thew fact that Marvel kept true there word and produced there very first TV-MA rated animated show, with “Marvel Zombies”. I believed the show wouldn’t have come out as good as it did without this rating, sense this show is inspired by a famous marvel comic following the same premise. In this comic things get dark and bloody, so I was very happy to see that transition so well to the big screen. If you are interested in watching and experience “Marvel Zombies,” it’s available on Disney+.
