Senior night for the swim team is a night where the senior swimmers and managers are highlighted for their successes during their swim career in high school. This year there were 12 seniors on the swim team, 10 swimmers and two managers for the season.
During the halfway break seniors partook in the tradition of walking with their guardians that were present at the meet while their amount of time on the team, future plans after high school and favorite moment from the swim team is announced.
Seniors highlighted include: Tyson Bounyareth, Lane Brucker, Marcos Lujan, Jose Garcia, Carson Crow, Xavyer Nouanlasy, Landon Woellhof, Maycie Scheele, Kasen Stegman, Mason Gardner, Gabriel Taylor and Brandy Huynh.
On Jan. 30 the boys swim team had their last meet before AVCTL or more commonly known as League. This is where all boys swim teams in the 2 divisions, which are based on school sizes compete in the last meet of the season before state. This year League is being held at Salina South High School Feb. 9 and 10. The first day is designated for diving and Division 2 swim teams, and the second day is for the first division.
