The Salvation Army Angel Tree is a program that provides Christmas gifts for thousands of children around the world every year. The Salvation Army is not limited during Christmas time, they help daily within the community. They help provide summer camps, volunteering, support, rehabilitation, shelters, food pantries and job training.
“Applications start Nov. 4 and submissions are due before Thanksgiving break,” Salvation Army office manager Roxanne said.
Though Christmas is still about two months away, Walmart and Sam’s Club will have a setup for anyone to take an angel off the tree. The angel then gives access to sizing information and essentials or gifts wishes the child or children wishes to have. Gifts need to be returned by
This opportunity helps parents prepare for Christmas time if they are in need of gifts for their child and are not financially well to get them. If a family is in need of gifts for Christmas time, children under 14 may apply. Applying can take place in person at the Salvation Army building.
The building is open 7am to 7pm Tuesday through Friday, Sunday is 7am to 7pm, and closed on Saturdays and Mondays.
