South’s Salina Boys Soccer team is currently on their way to play in the semi-finals to try and win the state championship. On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, South will be playing against Blue Valley Southwest. This match will determine whether or not the team will play for 3rd place or in the finals. These matches will take place on Nov. 9, in Wichita, Kansas, at the Stryker Sports Complex. The team will place anywhere from 4th to 1st.
South’s Cross Country team has recently finished their run to become state qualifiers. For South’s Salina Boys Cross Country qualifiers, Elian Moreno (‘26) placed 9th and Korbin Dykes (‘25) placed 10th. For South’s Salina Girls Cross Country qualifiers, they placed 3rd as a team. But, individually, Hanna Wille (‘28) placed 12th, Kyla Hamel (‘28) placed 13th, Alina Arceo (‘26) placed 16th, Lillian Davis (‘26) placed 17th, and Jayden Piepho (‘26) placed 19th.
