The basketball game between South and Central took place on Dec. 13.at Kansas Wesleyan University. The girl’s varsity game was scheduled for 6 p.m. Central won the game 54-40. The boy’s varsity game was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Central also won 63-59.
“It’s definitely more people, and it’s a big atmosphere,” Gavin Devoe (‘26) said.
Devoe has been part of the basketball team for three years and commented on how the game between South and Central felt different to other games he has played.
“Hopefully, we have motivation for the future games we play,” Devoe said.
This year’s game also featured the first combined half-time show between South and Central. It involved the South and Central dance teams, cheer teams and twirlers. The next boy’s and girl’s basketball games are on Dec. 20 at South.
