The Salina South boys soccer team qualified to state after two wins at regionals and rallied for a third place win. In the first round of state, they lost to Blue Valley Southwest, 1-2. Following their loss, they played Saint Thomas Aquinas for third place and won 3-2.
The last time the boys team went to state was in 2015 winning against both Blue Valley Southwest and Saint Thomas Aquinas, who they both lost to this year. Before their first game, they received massive support from the school, as students flooded the hallways as a sendoff for the boy’s soccer team to state.
